CSE Connect

The goal of CSE Connect is to support networking and connectivity among CSE members while learning something new about a topic of interest. CSE Connect events are free for members and $15 for non-members.

Events are held most months, and most events are informal in nature and a friendly spot for networking with your colleagues in scholarly and scientific editing. We hope you’ll join us for future CSE Connect events!

Do you have an idea for a future event? Click here to send us your proposed topic. Interested in partnering with CSE? Learn more about your opportunities here.

Creating a Publication Policy on AI: Evaluating and Categorizing AI Tools

While journals are struggling to create a comprehensive AI policy in an ever-changing landscape, authors are already using AI tools, often without much guidance from journals on what is permitted. With concerns about research integrity, journals can begin to tackle these complex issues by utilizing existing frameworks. Join Avi Staiman, a chef at The Scholarly Kitchen and founder and CEO of Academic Language Experts, as we dive into the problems that face publishers in creating flexible and specific policies.
